To join our expert witness panel, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Current registration with a relevant UK professional body (e.g., HCPC, GMC, BPS) with practising certificate where applicable.
Demonstrable experience in producing expert witness reports for legal use and understanding of CPR Part 35 requirements.
Commitment to impartiality, accuracy, objectivity, and adherence to professional ethical standards in all casework.
Willingness to work on a self-employed basis with current professional indemnity insurance (minimum £6 million cover).
Ability to conduct assessments across your region or UK-wide, with willingness to travel as required for cases.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain) required for experts working with children, vulnerable adults, or in certain legal areas.
