Standard educational psychology reports take 6-8 weeks from instruction to delivery. The face-to-face assessment typically takes 6-8 hours including breaks, spread across one or two sessions depending on the child's needs and stamina. This includes cognitive testing, interviews with the child and parents/carers, school observations where required, and review of all educational records. Urgent instructions for imminent SEND tribunal hearings can be expedited where possible. We provide regular progress updates throughout the assessment period.

Yes, our educational psychology reports are regularly accepted by First-tier Tribunal (SEND) judges across England and Wales. All our educational psychologists are HCPC registered with extensive experience in tribunal proceedings and statutory SEND work. Reports follow tribunal guidance, include appropriate standardised assessments, clear professional opinions on educational needs and provision, and recommendations that tribunal judges can implement. We maintain a 97% tribunal success rate for represented cases where our recommendations are adopted.

We provide fixed fee quotations at the instruction stage with complete transparency. Standard educational psychology assessments for SEND tribunal purposes typically range from £2,500-£4,000 depending on complexity and testing required. This includes comprehensive assessment, full written report with recommendations, and liaison with parents/schools. Additional school observations, supplementary reports, and responses to opposing evidence are quoted separately. Tribunal attendance is charged at day rates provided upfront. All fees include VAT and there are no hidden costs. Payment is required before report release.

We use gold standard, nationally and internationally recognised assessments including WISC-V (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children), WIAT-III (Wechsler Individual Achievement Test), Conners Rating Scales for ADHD, ADOS-2 for autism assessment, specialist dyslexia screening tools, and a range of social-emotional-behavioural assessments. All our educational psychologists are trained and qualified in administering these standardised assessments. Test selection is tailored to the specific referral questions and the child's individual needs, ensuring comprehensive evaluation of cognitive abilities, academic attainment, and special educational needs.

Yes, all our educational psychologists have extensive experience attending First-tier Tribunal (SEND) hearings to give oral evidence. They are confident in explaining their assessments and recommendations, responding to questions from tribunal judges and opposing party representatives, and maintaining professionalism throughout proceedings. Tribunal attendance fees are quoted at fixed day rates in advance. Pre-hearing conferences with instructing solicitors are available to discuss evidence and tribunal strategy. We can also attend via video link where tribunals permit. Our experts' availability for hearings is confirmed at instruction stage to ensure they can attend your scheduled hearing date.
